Private lessons are offered on PIANO, GUITAR, VOICE, BASS, DRUMS, VIOLIN, VIOLA, CELLO, TRUMPET, and SAXOPHONE, CLARINET, and FLUTE.
FEE: $28/half hour, $55/hour for all instruments with the exception of cello ($30/half hour).

Students can start lessons any time of the year, and a variety of styles are taught: rock, classical, jazz, pop, reggae, R&B and more!

Private one-on-one instruction allows students to progress at their own pace and to develop an understanding of musical techniques and theory.

Our air-conditioned studios come equipped with high-end pianos, amplifiers and drums, and an attractive waiting area with sofas, magazines and games is available for students and their families.

(If you prefer not to wait at the studio, Jamba Juice, Trader Joe’s, It’s a Grind and other shops and restaurants are conveniently located nearby).

ROCK SCHOOL (ages 10 & up)

Have you been playing an instrument in your room by yourself? Get out of your room and into a band!

You have two options for Rock School:

SATURDAY ROCK SCHOOL. This is an ongoing Saturday afternoon group ensemble class for guitarists, bassists, drummers, keyboard/piano players, and singers, Must have basic competency on your instrument. Participants will learn songs, performance skills and musical cooperation within a group, and will have regular performance opportunities at our month First Fridays events. 90-minute class, 4-5:30. Only $15 per session if you take private lessons with us, $20/session for others.

Your Band Rock School. Call us with a group of 4 or more of your friends. Culminates in a live performance for family & friends!

Course meets for one hour once a week for eight weeks. $180 per student.

Note: Rock School repertoire can accommodate any style of music, including classic rock/punk/metal, reggae, R & B, jazz, and pop music, depending on the interest of the participants.

Rockin' Guitar (beginning level group guitar class)

Calling all aspiring electric or acoustic guitarists -- learn what it takes to rock! Emphasis on beginning rock technique, including power chords, simple blues, and rock licks. Bring your own guitar or rent one from us.

NEXT CLASS STARTS MARHC 2012. Meets for seven Fridays, Mar. 23 - May 25, 6-6:50pm (no class on 4/6, 4/13, 5/4)
Ages 8-15, $105, all materials included except guitars.

Jammin' Music Glee Club

Participants will have a blast singing group renditions of pop and rock songs while also learning proper vocal technique (breathing, warm-ups, pitch and more), light choreography and stage blocking. Class will conclude with a performance. Instructor: Esther Song.

Wednesdays, Mar. 7 - April 25, 4-4:50pm (no class 4/11)

Beginning class for students with little or no previous instruction. Students will be taught note reading, hand positions, proper finger technique and simple melodies in a fun, supportive atmosphere. Note: class will be taught on individual electronic keyboards (provided). Materials fee: $5.

MELODY TIME (ages 1-2), six-week sessions: $75

Child and parent make music together in this fun and interactive class! Sing songs, play simple instruments from around the world, and enjoy drum circle time and creative musical activities designed to nurture your child’s innate sense of rhythm and musical abilities!
. The class is 45 minutes, once per week.
. Class size is limited to 15 students
. Caretakers/grandparents are also welcome to accompany children for working parents.
 

LITTLE MUSICMAKERS (ages 2 1/2-5), six-week sessions: $75

A fun and interactive group class designed to teach the basics of music: rhythm, melody and imagination! 50 minutes, once per week. Class size is limited to 12 students per class. The classes cover: Movement and music, learning to sing and listen, making music with percussion instruments, rhythm, melody, and dynamics.

KEYBOARD KIDS (ages 5-6), 7-week sessions, $105, materials and keyboards included

Wednesdays, 3-3:50pm, March 7 - April 25 (no class 4/11)
Fridays, 3-3:50pm, March 9 - April 27 (no class 4/13)
Saturdays, 11-11:50am, March 3 - April 21 (no class 4/14)  

Children will be guided through a variety of fun and engaging, musical activities with an emphasis on keyboards. Rhythm, note recognition and proper keyboard technique will be taught as well as simple melodies. Individual keyboards provided. Eight kids maximum.

UKULELE KIDS! (ages 5-7), 7-week sessions, $105
Tuesdays, 4-4:50pm, March 6 - April 24 (no class 4/10)

Kids will learn basic chords, melodies, rhythm and note reading in a fun, supportive atmosphere. Ukulele is not only fun to play, it's a terrific way to prepare little hands for guitar study later on. Bring your own ukulele or rent one from us.
